✦ The Prayer ✦

Lord, I am tired. Not the tired of one hard day — the tired that has been building for a long time. I do not need You to fix everything today. I need You to sit with me for a moment. To remind me that I am still Your beloved. That my worth is not measured by what I produce, or how I feel, or how much I have left. Lift my head, Lord. Steady my legs. Send me one small mercy today — enough to stand up again. Amen.

Why this prayer, today.

There is a tiredness deeper than sleep can fix. The tiredness of carrying much for long. The tiredness of standing when you would rather sit down and stay.

Scripture speaks tenderly to that tiredness. It does not shame it. It meets it — with the reminder that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that God knows our frame.

You do not have to be strong today. You only have to let God be strong beside you.
